Since 1968, the family enterprise Thordsen stands for quality, reliability and flexibility in international shipping.
The company started in 1968, when Bernd and Rosemarie Thordsen decided at a very young age to take the step into self-employment.
Their courage was rewared with swift success. After a short time, the first offices in Deichstrasse became too small. Since the export in particular grew steadily, in 1977, the company moved into their own business building in Borstelmannsweg.
While export to East Africa accounted for the largest share of business in the first few years, this changed in the early 1970s.Japanese companies were increasingly conquering the European market, and Thordsen Spedition was able to gain their trust with their service. To this day, trusting and successful business relations with Japan Shape everyday life at Thordsen Spedition.
In the meantime, the generation change has taken place and Christine Thordsen continues to run her parents’ company.

Our Visions
To lead a freight forwarder successfully into the future is certainly not an easy task. Changes are always necessary, but they often require courage and can involve risks.
